“My experience at Novel was exceptional. The room was very clean and tidy and there was a larger space to lounge in on the main level. Although I was initially worried about the noise from a few guests who were visiting in the main room near the fireplace, when I tucked in early at 8:30 I couldn’t hear them talking at all. There was a set menu for breakfast. The day I stayed had waffles with fresh fruit and sausages. Very well done. The waffles were excellent and the portion was a very good size. The hostess even offered extra waffles and sausages. The area nearby is quite nice to walk through and there are quite a few shops to visit within a few blocks. I’ll be sure to visit again when I’m staying somewhere in Calgary.”

“My husband and I stayed in this marvelous B&B this past weekend for one unforgettable night. This newly built B&B was a real treat and we will be sure to stay here again when we have another opportunity. Our hosts built their home to accommodate B&B guests and they put a lot of thought into providing every comfort. Their guest space is totally separate from the family space and guests have a cozy sitting area with a fireplace, as well as a self service coffee bar. Our room was spacious and bright with a really comfortable bed and bedding. I really appreciated the blackout blinds on the windows as I like a completely dark room to sleep in. Both my husband and I slept very well which isn’t always the case when we are away from home. Our bathroom had a large spa like shower and everything was spotless.
Breakfast the next morning was delicious! We enjoyed the lightest waffles I’ve ever eaten with fruit salad and sausages accompanied by a delicious fruit smoothie.
We loved the Novel B&B book theme. There are dozens of books in every room for guests to browse. As much as I like my iPad there is nothing like a real book! I think the Novel B&B would be an ideal place for a small family gathering or a girls weekend. With four guest rooms and a great common area to socialize in, it provides a warm, relaxing space which is a rare find.

“My stay at Novel Bed & Breakfast was very welcoming and comfortable! The self check in process was easy and convenient. The house was clean and well kept. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I find when I stay in hotels I’m very picky about the bath towels and the shower – the shower head was high with good pressure (I’m tall) and the towels were fluffy! Breakfast was fresh and on time. My husband and I had waffles of which I am not usually a fan but they were so good.”
